How Exact Hosting Support works
Before our agents can make changes to your account, we need to verify that you are the account owner. The support PIN — found in your client area — is the fastest way to do that. Once we've verified you, we can update account settings, change host records or name servers, and answer detailed billing questions.
Before you begin
- Your Exact Hosting account credentials. You'll need these to sign in to the client area and locate your support PIN.
- Your support PIN. Required for any account changes our team makes on your behalf.
Finding your support PIN
The support PIN verifies your identity. Provide it to an Exact Hosting agent so they can look into your account, share account details, and confirm ownership.
- Open the Exact Hosting client area, click Account, and then Login.
- Enter your username and password, then press Login.
- Your support PIN appears on the dashboard after you sign in.
Submitting a verified support ticket
Open a ticket from inside your account whenever you need a written record of the request or you're requesting an account change. Submitting from the client area automatically associates the ticket with your account.
A verified support ticket is required for:
- Updates to your account settings
- Host record or name server updates
- Sign in to the client area.
- Select Open Ticket.
- Fill out the required fields and click Submit.
Note: Once you submit a ticket, you'll receive a confirmation email at your account email address.
Starting a live chat
Live chat connects you with an Exact Hosting agent in real time during business hours. Sign in to your account before starting the chat so the conversation is linked to your account for follow-up.
- Click the Chat button at the bottom of any page on the Exact Hosting site.
- Fill in the required details and click Start chat.
Note: If you already have an Exact Hosting account, sign in before opening the chat so the conversation is associated with your account.

Exact Hosting supports communication accessibility for customers with hearing or speech impairments. When you contact us through a Teletypewriter (TTY) device, a relay operator transmits your message to our advisors.
