WordPress hosting is our self-service that includes access to WordPress manager within your Exact Hosting account. You can create your installation, customize it, and access admin controls.
Installing WordPress
WordPress installation will automatically take place after the order has been processed and approved.
Note: This may take up to five minutes to be visible in your account.
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Access to your WordPress control panel.
Note: This may take up to 5 minutes to be visible in your account.
WordPress admin
Through the WordPress manager, you can launch into your WordPress admin area without the need for your password if logged into your Exact Hosting account.
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- Hit the Admin Icon for access.
Note: This may take up to 5 minutes to be visible in your account.
WordPress manager
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- Hit the Manage Icon.
- The first page is the details tab with an overview of your installation.
WordPress manager backups
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- Hit the Manage Icon.
- Select Backups and press Create Backup.
- Toggle what to back up and hit Create.
Note: It is recommended that you toggle all three options for a full backup.
WordPress manager themes
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- Hit the Manage Icon.
- Hit Themes and select the theme of your choice through the Checkmark Icon.
- Select Confirm.
WordPress manager plugins
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- Hit the Manage Icon.
- Select the Plugins.
- To manage each plugin there are four icons.
Activates the plugin. 
Disables the plugin. 
Updates the plugin. 
Deletes the plugin.
WordPress manager actions
The actions menu bar has more features that allow you to fully take advantage of our WordPress hosting service.
| Log into the control panel | Launches the admin area of your WordPress installation. |
| Cache | Clears the cache of your WordPress site. |
| Clone | This tool allows you to clone the WordPress installation from one location to any other domain. Enter a domain, set the relative directory for the new installation and type in the new name of the database to be created for the installation. |
| Update | Searches for new updates to your WordPress installation. |
Manage auto upgrades |
Toggles auto-upgrade for plugins and themes. |
| Staging | Create a staging instance of this WordPress installation to test the upgrades and changes before pushing it to the live environment. |
| Push to live | Pushes your staging site to live. This option is only available once you have a staging site. |
| SSL | Toggles for SSL on your WordPress site. |
| Delete | Deletes your WordPress installation. |
Manage account
There are more options for your WordPress installation in your Exact Hosting account, these tools will help maintain your WordPress installation.
Disk usage
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press Disk Usage.
- A display of your site statistics will be listed.
DNS Zone Editor
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press DNS Zone Editor.
- Hit the Pencil to edit.
- Press Create DNS Record if you want to add a new record.
- Fill in your desired zone and hit Create.
Domain aliases
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press Domain aliases.
- Hit Create Domain Alias.
- Fill in your desired domain alias and select Create.
Note: Domains have to be registered with a valid registrar to become an alias. It will not function unless the desired domain is pointed to your DNS servers.
PHP version
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press PHP Version.
- Select the Pencil.
- Select the PHP value of your choice and hit Save.
Subdomains
- Log in to the client area.
- Select Services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Choose Subdomains.
- Select Create subdomain.
- Fill in the desired subdomain and hit Create.
Unban IP Address
- Log in to the client area.
- Select Services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press Unban IP address.
- The field will auto-populate the current IP you're logged in with and hit Unban.
WordPress manager
- Log in to the client area.
- Select Services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
Note: SSL provisioning may take up to 24 hours.
- Press WordPress manager.
- This leads to the WordPress installation page.
Addon enhanced email
The included email service is automatically created once your order has been processed successfully and will be listed on your products and services page. The support guide for hosted email is provided in our knowledge base.
- Log in to the client area.
- Select Services.
- Press Active to enter your service.
