Configuring TaxPro Email Server Settings

TaxPro email accounts are hosted on Exact Hosting's EmailArray service. This article gives you the incoming and outgoing server settings, login details, and webmail address you need to set up TaxPro email in any standard desktop or mobile mail client.

About TaxPro email

TaxPro mailboxes are delivered through Exact Hosting's EmailArray service. The same settings work across all common mail clients, including:

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Apple Mail
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
  • iPhone / iPad Mail
  • Android Mail
  • Other desktop or mobile email clients

Note: IMAP is recommended over POP for most users because it keeps your mail synchronized across all devices.

Before you begin

  • Your full TaxPro email address. This is the username for both incoming and outgoing mail, for example, you@yourdomain.com.
  • Your TaxPro email password. This is the password set in your client area or in the webmail panel.
  • A mail client that supports IMAP or POP and SMTP. Examples include Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, and the default mail apps on iPhone, iPad, and Android.

Step 1: Configure incoming mail

Choose either IMAP, recommended, or POP for receiving mail.

IMAP (recommended)

IMAP keeps your mail synchronized across all devices. Best for users who check mail from a desktop, phone, and tablet.

SettingValue
Server (host name)imap.emailarray.com
Port993
EncryptionSSL/TLS

POP

POP downloads mail to a single device and can optionally leave a copy on the server. Recommended only if you check mail from one device.

SettingValue
Server (host name)pop.emailarray.com
Port995
EncryptionSSL/TLS

Step 2: Configure outgoing mail (SMTP)

Use these settings to send mail. SMTP authentication is required, and the credentials are the same as your incoming mail credentials.

SettingValue
Server (host name)smtp.emailarray.com
Port465
EncryptionSSL/TLS

Tip: If port 465 does not work on your network, try port 587 with STARTTLS encryption.

Step 3: Enter your login credentials

Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing mail.

SettingValue
UsernameYour full email address, for example, you@yourdomain.com
PasswordThe email account password set in your client area or webmail panel
SMTP authenticationEnabled. Use the same credentials as the incoming server.

Warning: Make sure SSL/TLS encryption is enabled for both incoming and outgoing mail. Without encryption, your password is transmitted in clear text.

Step 4: Access webmail (optional)

You can also access your TaxPro mailbox in a web browser without configuring a mail client.

  • Webmail URL: https://webmail.yourdomain.com. Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.
  • Sign in with: your full email address and email password.

Troubleshooting

  • Sending fails on port 465. Try port 587 with STARTTLS encryption.
  • Authentication errors. Confirm your username is the full email address, not just the part before the @, and re-enter your password.
  • Connection refused or timed out. Verify SSL/TLS encryption is enabled and that your network or firewall is not blocking the mail port.

If you continue to experience issues, contact support and include:

  • The email address being configured
  • The mail client and device you're using
  • The exact error message received

Next steps

  • Set up additional devices. Repeat these steps on any other desktop, phone, or tablet you want to use with your TaxPro mailbox.
  • Reset your email password. Update the password from your client area or webmail panel if you suspect it's been compromised.
