Exact Hosting Webmail gives you a single, browser-based home for your email, calendar, contacts, and files. This article introduces the Webmail application, explains what each component does, and points you to the deep-dive guide for every tab.
What Webmail is
Webmail is the web interface for your Exact Hosting Enhanced Email mailbox. You can sign in from any modern browser on a laptop, desktop, or mobile device and access your full mailbox without installing a separate mail client.
Webmail brings together six components -- Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Files, RSS, and Settings -- plus an Admin area on accounts that have administrative privileges. Each component lives behind its own sidebar icon and opens in a shared work area on the right.
Tip: If you only need to set up Webmail for the first time or troubleshoot sign-in, see the broader Enhanced Email articles. This guide assumes you can already log in.
Before you begin
- An active Exact Hosting Enhanced Email mailbox. Webmail is the browser interface for Enhanced Email -- you need a working mailbox to sign in.
- A supported browser. See the browser list below.
- Your mailbox sign-in credentials. Use the same email address and password you would use in a desktop mail client.
Supported browsers
Webmail supports current versions of the major desktop browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Microsoft Edge
Note: Webmail may load in other browsers, but some features can behave unexpectedly outside the supported list. For the best experience, keep your browser up to date.
The six Webmail components
Each component handles a different part of your communication and storage. Use the table below as a quick map, then jump into the per-tab guide for full instructions.
| Component | What you use it for | Full guide |

Navigating with the sidebar
The sidebar is fixed to the left side of Webmail and stays visible no matter which component you have open. From it, you can:
- Switch between the six Webmail components
- Click Compose to start a new email from anywhere
- Open the Admin area, if your account has administrative privileges
- Open Help
- Click Logout to end your session
The work area
Each Webmail component opens a work area divided into two or three panes -- for example, the folder list, message list, and message preview in Mail. The layout is designed for wide screens. When you shrink the browser window, panes collapse automatically; you can reopen any hidden pane from the toggle at the top of the visible pane.
