The Exact Hosting support PIN verifies that you are the rightful owner of your account when you contact our team. This guide shows you where to find your PIN and how to generate a new one if you need to refresh it.
About the support PIN
The support PIN is a short code displayed in your Exact Hosting client area after you sign in. When you call, chat, or open a ticket, an agent asks for this PIN as proof of account ownership before sharing account details or making changes. Because the PIN is tied to your active session in the client area, only someone with access to your account can see it.
Warning: Treat your support PIN like a password. Don't share it outside an Exact Hosting Support conversation.
Before you begin
- An active Exact Hosting account. You need your username and password to sign in to the client area.
Locating your support PIN
Your PIN is shown on the client area dashboard as soon as you sign in. Use the steps below to find it.
- Open the Exact Hosting client area, click Account, and then Login.
- Enter your username and password, then press Login.
- The support PIN appears on the dashboard after you sign in.
Generating a new support PIN
Generate a new PIN any time you suspect the current one may have been shared inappropriately, or if Exact Hosting Support asks you to refresh it. The old PIN is invalidated immediately once a new one is generated.
- Open the Exact Hosting client area, click Account, and then Login.
- Enter your username and password, then press Login.
- Click Generate new pin to replace the current support PIN.
Note: Once you generate a new PIN, the previous one stops working right away. Make sure to share the new code with your support agent if you're already in a conversation.
