WordPress and Softaculous make it easy for you to update plugins through cPanel. Updating plugins is an easy way to ensure the security of a WordPress site.
Updating plugins
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Click Active.
- Choose Login to cPanel.
- Press the WordPress icon under scripts.
- Press the Admin icon for access to WP admin.
- Select Plugins, then Installed plugins.
- If you have plugins needing an update, you'll see them listed.
- Press Update and check the plugin you want to update, then hit Apply.
Softaculous auto plugin update
- Log in to the client area.
- Select services.
- Click Active.
- Choose Login to cPanel.
- Press the WordPress icon under scripts.

Select the Pencil icon for access to WP admin.
- Hit Upgrade plugin(s) now, and softaculous will automatically update the current theme.
Note: Check the boxes if you wish for softaculous to process any updates available automatically.
