Updating WordPress plugins

WordPress and Softaculous make it easy for you to update plugins through cPanel.  Updating plugins is an easy way to ensure the security of a WordPress site.

Updating plugins

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Select services.

  3. Click Active.

  4. Choose Login to cPanel.

  5. Press the WordPress icon under scripts.

  6. Press the Admin icon for access to WP admin.

  7. Select Plugins, then Installed plugins.

  8. If you have plugins needing an update, you'll see them listed.

  9. Press Update and check the plugin you want to update, then hit Apply.

Softaculous auto plugin update

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Select services.

  3. Click Active.

  4. Choose Login to cPanel.

  5. Press the WordPress icon under scripts.

  6. Select the Pencil icon for access to WP admin.

  7. Hit Upgrade plugin(s) now, and softaculous will automatically update the current theme.
    Note: Check the boxes if you wish for softaculous to process any updates available automatically.
